Senior Quality Engineer Tester, QA QC, Agile, Scrum

Accountable for all quality aspects across multiple squads, ensuring robust testing practices.
We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Senior Quality Engineer to join our Product Engineering team at PAVE. In this role, you will take ownership of quality across multiple squads, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and performance. You will define testing strategies, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high- quality software solutions. Define, monitor, and report quality metrics to improve quality visibility and decision- making.
Maintain and enforce best testing practices, aligning and adapting to global processes.
Drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation frameworks and ensure CI/CD integration.
Support QE colleagues in staying up- to- date with the latest testing technology trends.
Participate in strategic delivery planning of the squads to ensure quality is integrated early.
Define QE goals aligned with business priorities and quality objectives.
Understand testing challenges/blockers, act as an escalation point for quality issues, and help resolve them.
Define and align testing strategies and approaches with key stakeholders (PM,, EM).
Collaborate in planning and allocating QE resources across multiple squads.
Manage release testing activities, review, and sign- off test results before deployment.
Promote and implement an Automation- first approach in all testing activities.
Drive and contribute to innovation in QE processes, tools, and domain- specific initiatives.
Identify capability gaps and support training programs to upskill QE team members.
Build a strong team culture and foster employee engagement focused on quality.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Solid understanding of SDLC and modern testing strategies.
Proven experience in developing comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, test scenarios, and clear, actionable test reports.
5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, including test automation and CI/CD integration.
Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Shift- Left testing practices.
Experience with testing Microservices architecture and API testing (RESTful).
Proficiency in coding/scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python) for automation purposes.
In- depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), along with strong expertise in QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Good communication skills in English, proactive, and strong problem- solving mindset.
Strong hands- on experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

Nice to have:

Experience working with Grafana K6, Tesmo.
ISTQB CTFL Certification or equivalent quality assurance certification is a plus.
Knowledge of OOP, SQL.
