• Fully responsible of accounts under his/her management, including contracting, updating profile and renewing contracts.
• Develop business leads for the Hotel on a weekly basis.
• Negotiates with the clients.
• Ensures that all complaints have initiated follow- up action.
• Attend hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibility.
• Up- sell, cross- sell and promote Hotel facilities & services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue Keeps a record on former, existing, potential clients and a profile of each of them.
• Prepare monthly action plan for main market segment.
• Update Director of Sales & Marketing on market trends and business leads.
• Pays visits to former, existing and potential clients in view of entering into contracts with them, especially commercial accounts.
• Defines precisely guest requirements and ensures that the guest services offered corresponds effectively to their requests.
• In conjunction with Revenue Manger, provide timely and relevant information on hotel trends, to enable the Executive Committee to make pro- active decisions to improve the profitability of the hotel.
• Assist Director of Sales and Marketing to participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events, within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations.
• Assist in drawing up the marketing plan annually with DOSM.
• Provide a professional, advisory and executive support service to Director of Sales & Marketing, and General Manager to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the establishment.
• Assist Director of Sales & Marketing to manage Sales activities and events in line to achieve budget & sales for hotel.
• Records all daily sales calls.
• Conducts group briefing to other Employees within the corporate section when need
• Keeps himself/herself well informed about the operations especially in key departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Banqueting etc.)
Team Management
• Identify and develop team members with potential.
• Develop, conduct maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business.
• The Senior Sales Manager join to interview, select and recruit direct reports.
• Conduct performance review with the team.
• Constantly monitor team members’ appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism.
Other Responsibilities
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management.
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
• Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
