• To chair the Talent Committee.
• To ensure the smooth operation of the Personnel Division during the absence of the Talent Manager.
• To ensure that the Personnel Function is managed efficiently, maximizing utilization of Technology.
• To maintain complete and supported Personnel records for Wafaifo
• To ensure that talent facilities are maintained and cleaned, including the Talent Canteen, Locker Rooms, etc
• To contribute to the Annual Talent Budget. To assist in the preparation of monthly and annual Manpower Planning, Turnover Reports and Manning Guide
• To establish a professional network of Personnel Specialists from competitive Hotels and other Industries
• To attend and contribute to all talent meetings Departmental and Hotel Training as scheduled and other related activities..
• To ensure that all resigned talents are properly “checked out” following the established procedures.
• To ensure that all departments and talents adhere to all Company / Hotel Personnel / Training Policies & Procedures and the contents of the Talent Handbook.
• With the Training Manager and Talent Manager, plan and publish Annual / Monthly / Quarterly Talent Activities Calendar.
• To coordinate the preparation work for the Talent Insights, Activities…
• To maintain a systematic recruitment and selection process, maintaining a database of internal and external candidates for Wafaifo employment, whereby the primary focus is to provide development opportunities and promotions from within the company, with external recruitment as back up.
• To implement a systematic and consistent approach to succession planning in all Departments.
• To ensure that all Personnel records and files are maintained according to established standards and computerized where possible.
• To ensure that all Personnel talents is well versed with the Personnel functions.
• To assist the Training Manager by conducting Personnel- related training sessions and topics.
• To continuously question the ideal mix of full- time, part Time, contract, outsourced, and casual talents in each Department and review possible actions with the Talent Manager.
• To support talent needs in other Divisions based on the hotel priorities and anticipated business levels.
• To research and propose competitive compensation/benefits/incentive packages. To ensure that talent compensation, benefits and incentives are attractive to talent when compared to those offered by our competitors.
• To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the outlet and all other departments.
• To ensure that all external communication in the Form of Recruitment Ads, External Hotel Talent Activities and Internal Communications through Talent Notice Boards, collateral etc portray a professional image in line with the Wafaifo Talent Notarizing Concept.
• In the absence of the Talent Manager, represent the Talent Department on the hotel&039;s Executive Committee.
• To process all recruitment procedures and administration for successful candidates.
• To contribute to the Talent Committee by assisting with Hotel and Talent Committee sponsored activities, such as sports activities, outings etc.
• To ensure with the respective guides that all Job Descriptions and Talent Specifications are up to date and relevant.
• To ensure that all meetings are well planned, efficient and results oriented.
• To ensure that all applicants are interviewed on the required Talent Specifications and Talent Profiles as established by the hotel.
• To administrate an objective Appraisal system, whereby Promotions, Annual Increments, Bonuses and Incentives are directly related to performance.
• To be hands- on and observe, review, and improve Personnel and Training practices and procedures throughout the hotel departments.
• To ensure that a strong talent communication program is implemented both on a Hotel level as well as departmental levels, that maximizes talent’s awareness of Wafaifo Mision and Vision, Philosophy and Operating Concepts, including the Talent Handbook, Newsletters, Communication Boards, Meetings etc.
• To ensure that all Personnel Administration Practices are complete and in- keeping with legal practices
• To counsel talents on career prospects, job related and personal matters, discipline etc.
• To review the policies periodically and recommend necessary adjustments to the Talent Manager, according to current industrial trends and requirements of the Labor Department.
• To ensure that the hotel nurse organizes regular Health and Safety Awareness programs.
• To ensure that all Departmental Operations Manuals are prepared and updated annually.
• To establish a competitive salary scale according to the current industrial / market situation and for years to come, ensuring a balanced payroll throughout the organization.
• To ensure that the Hotel projects “Labor of the Choice” image within the local community and is seen as being the industry leader by both the community as well as Government Organizations such as the Labor Department etc
• To coordinate applications and extensions of all Work Permits and Dependants passes.
• To keep a complete record of potential candidates for future reference.
• To submit monthly reporting package on a timely basis to the Talent Manager
• To establish an effective external recruitment procedure to obtain the best talents in the marketplace at competitive, but responsible remuneration packages.
• To conduct Exit Interviews for all resigned talents and provide feedback to the Talent Manager.
• To ensure that the Department’s Operational Budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are strictly controlled.
