Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the WGE Technical Specialist responsible to deliver WGE assessments, and trainings for VBCWE’s members helping improve internal workplace gender equality (WGE) and inclusion. The role will be a trusted advisor to the VBCWE members, providing high quality and customized support to members to address WGE and diversity and inclusion priorities and challenges when implementing initiatives to meet their commitments to enhance equality and increase inclusion. The role will also support VBCWE’s other initiatives to promote women’s economic empowerment.
The WGE Technical Specialist role is an exciting new position and unique opportunity which will draw on the candidate’s experience in workplace gender equality, organizational or culture change, diversity and inclusion and human resources management to work closely with the technical team in Vietnam and international specialists to develop and deliver a unique service offering to VBCWE member firms to enhance inclusion and equality.
The role of the WGE Technical Specialist will be as follows:
WGE, D&I Training
Liaising with relevant stakeholders to schedule training programs for our clients, and staff.
Developing and implementing training content and materials
Guiding and developing junior Trainers (if any) in the team
Being creative in training approach with an emphasis on activity based learning
Delivering training sessions related to WGE, D&I topic to our clients, and stakeholders (Gender 101, Unconcous Gender Bias, D&I Leadership, etc...)
Improving training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques
Working closely with Executive Director / Learning Partners to identify areas of improvement and training required
WGE, D&I Assessment
Support to clients in data collecting, analyzing and evaluating
Assess and review the member’s policy and regulation on human resources issues in accordance to provided assessment tool
Become a trusted advisor by providing tailored advice to VBCWE members seeking support and guidance around diversity and inclusion (D&I) and WGE challenges and priorities such as policy review, strategy development or training provision on topics such as flexible work, parental leave transition programs, succession planning, mentoring and sponsorship opportunities or employee engagement.
Implement client care activities after assessment
Cooperate closely with the VBCWE’s technical divisions to provide clients the quality services as committed.
Assist in developing VBCWE’s program and other initiatives to promote women’s economic empowerment.
Develop and delivery training for assessment (EDGE/GEARS)
Present WGE, D&I assessment reports to clients, partners or other stakeholders
Support members to achieve their WGE priorities using leading practice diagnostic and assessment tools – support the development and design of internal Investing in Women tools and mechanisms for measuring and evaluating change.
Effectively support and motivate member companies to ensure they remain engaged and committed to working towards organizational inclusion and WGE.
