• Ensure document implementation control and maintenance of Integrated Management system of Rheem Vietnam in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001.

• Play an active and practical role in identifying actual and potential SHE problem areas, and developing and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Hazard Alert System
• Participate in incident investigations as required. Ensure near-miss reporting is maintained. Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions.
• Provide Job Safety Training and ensure Risk Assessments are prepared for all routine and non-routine workplace stations.
• Develop contractor training programs including site risk assessments and Safe Work Method Practices, contractor training and workplace monitoring policies.
Maintain a secure, accurate and up to date hazard register.
Assist in developing and implementing corrective actions.
Follow up on all hazard alerts through meetings with production and engineering personnel to ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
Receive, record and file hazard alerts.
• Inspections and audits
Receive, record and file all inspection and audit reports.
Participate in the STOP safety programs.
Follow up on inspections and audits to ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
Arrange and conduct regular Area Safety Inspections.
• Pressure Vessels
Ensure records are maintained and all explosive vessels have current certification.
• Fire Extinguishers and Hose Reels.
• Check and maintain correct stock levels in first aid kits around site and personal protective equipment delivery.
• Update and maintain numbering system for fire extinguishers and fire hose reels.
• Conduct regular audits of fire extinguishers and fire hose reels.
• Maintain and upgrade the system of safety signs and posters across the site.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant SHE legislation, standards and codes of practice.
• Participate in Area Safety Meetings and assist with resolution of outstanding issues.
• Conduct routine training such as Safety, Forklift management systems, First Aid, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and industrial hygiene.
• Participate in project work groups for new production equipment, new products & processes. Provide SHE input and assist with risk assessments for such projects.
• Assist in maintaining secure, accurate, and up to date SHE records, including:
SHE training.
Hazard alerts and corrective actions.
Risk assessments, inspections and audits.
• Environmental Compliance
Pollution prevention compliance.
Reporting of waste volumes.
Maintain environmental Aspects & Impacts register for the site.
Waste disposal compliance.
• Environmental Management System
Develop and maintain the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO14001 requirements.
Participate in the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System.
• Waste Management and Reduction Program
Monitor and report on solid and liquid waste volumes.
Manage the solid and liquid waste disposal contracts for the site.
Maintain and develop recycling programs for:
Plastics;
Identify, develop and implement new measures for reducing waste.
Cardboard & paper;
Manage the implementation of a liquid waste treatment system.
Glass, plastic and metal bottles & cans etc.
• Implementation of the Wastewater Treatment System and compliance below industrial Class B discharge regulation.
• Waste Water Treatment Management
• Ensure 100% first time wastewater treatment measurements within Government requirements.
• Pollution Prevention Program
• Implement procedures to ensure all sanitation and discharge water is within Government limits.
Conduct regular inspections and audits.
Develop and implement control measures for all areas of risk.
• Soil Remediation Program
Act as site contact person in relation to Rheem soil remediation program.
Liaise with all relevant parties – contractors, Rheem management, Rheem production personnel.
Ensure the site earth and ground water is not affected by manufacturing processes.
