Description
As a Senior Software Engineer II in our Solutions Engineering team, you will be a pivotal leader, providing technical and strategic direction to our Solutions Delivery Teams. You&039;ll be instrumental in ensuring the successful design, implementation, and delivery of technical solutions that meet our customers&039; needs. This is a highly hands- on role where you&039;ll be a significant contributor to both customer projects and work that contributes to driving efficiencies and quality across all delivery teams.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery

Customer- Focused Incident Management: Responsible for supporting critical incidents for their customers to aid retention , actively contributing technical solutions to resolve them.
Architectural Guidance and Oversight: Provide expert technical design oversight and guidance for complex solutions, ensuring alignment with Skedulo&039;s architectural principles and best practices.
Hands- on Development: Actively contribute to the development of technical solutions for customer projects, including complex integrations, custom features, and platform enhancements.
Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews, offering constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
Innovation and Experimentation: Dedicate time to exploring new technologies, experimenting with innovative solutions, and contributing to proof- of- concepts that can enhance the Skedulo platform and delivery capabilities.
Active Managerial Support: Support their Engineering Manager in achieving the team&039;s strategic goals and objectives.
Technical Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, providing effective and efficient solutions to unblock delivery teams and ensure project success.

Team Enablement & Mentorship

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Solutions Engineering workflow, leading initiatives to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and create documentation to disseminate technical expertise and best practices across the Solutions Engineering team.
Mentoring and Coaching: Provide technical mentorship and coaching to junior and mid- level engineers, fostering their growth and development in areas such as design patterns, coding best practices, and problem- solving.

Strategic Contribution & Business Alignment

Customer Engagement: Participate in customer- facing discussions as a technical expert, providing insights and building confidence in Skedulo&039;s technical capabilities.
Adherence to Strategic Prioritization: Required to follow the official framework, prioritizing critical customer incidents , project escalations , and billable project work in that order.
Platform Advocacy: Act as a subject matter expert for the Skedulo Pulse Platform, advocating for its capabilities and identifying areas for future enhancement based on customer needs and market trends.
Common Code Contributions: Develop and maintain reusable code components, libraries, and frameworks that accelerate development and improve consistency across all delivery teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 7 years full- stack web application development experience with significant exposure to server- side delivery.
Minimum 2 years in a Senior Engineering role in a Services or Product Engineering team.

Desired Skills & Experience

Preferred candidates will have experience with service- oriented applications delivered via a public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Preferred candidates will have experience with NodeJS, Typescript, React and experience with relational database systems (Postgres is an advantage).
Preferred candidates with proven ability to prioritize and handle work to critical project timelines in a dynamic environment and develop new approaches to complex design problems.
Preferred candidates will have a team player mentality, will be quick on their feet, agile, and aren&039;t afraid to speak up and voice their opinion
Preferred candidates will have experience setting up and contributing to CI/CD pipelines/environments
Preferred candidates will have strong working experience with agile development methodologies

Additional Qualifications

This position may require no more than 20% travel from time to time as set forth by the Company.
Must have reliable internet connection and an at home workstation setup. (For remote positions)
Must be authorized to work in the country where this position is based without the need for visa sponsorship at time of application.
