Site Engineering Intern

CIVIL, STRUCTURE, ARCHITECTURAL WORKS (CSA)
Assist the project team in the review and contract compliance with respect to contractor’s submittals such as;
Monitoring of contractor’s schedule
Shop drawings
Tracking and highlighting critical items on the progress of long lead items.
Material submission for approval and compliance to contract documents
Assist the project team in carrying out fieldwork, among others.
Carry out inspections based upon site specific requirements as directed by the line manager compliant to established QA/QC plan, specifications and quality standards
Any other duties that may be assigned as part of the construction works.
Attend and witness material testing periodically following the project needs and schedule
Assist with the H&S at site and advise line manager of any infringements.
Record accurate inspections carried out in line with the site documents.
Check the work done by the contractor
Monitor and advise line manager of all of the works within their specific area of concern.
Review and comment in respect to As Built Drawings, and operations manuals.
Documentation:
Help maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
Research and analysis:
Assist in researching and analyzing finishing materials, trends, and best practices.

Intermediate written and spoken communication skills with a minimum basic understanding of English.
Basic time management and organizational skills with the ability to self- manage billable hours and ability to undertake own work with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
Basic written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collate materials into a template report.
Degree qualified in engineering or equivalent work experience
This is an entry level position, the employee must demonstrate a willingness to learn construction processes and principles. Years of experience: Entry Level to 1 Years of post graduate work experience.
Team player and able to adapt to changes within the construction process
Basic working knowledge of software Excel, Word, AutoCAD. Knowledge in Microsoft Project software is an advantage (but not a requirement)
