Software Developer (PHP/Codeigniter/Laravel/Python/SQL)

Summary of position
Utilizing a Software Development Life Cycle, the Software developer will work with technical and non- technical associates in defining business and technical requirements to develop new functions or redesign/consolidate existing processes.
The Software Developer will be part of the development team, which will have the responsibility for supporting and enhancing PHP Codeigniter, Laravel framework Quicksight Reports, and home- built custom applications using LAMPS technology.
Duties and Responsibility:
This position will be mainly responsible for the following:

Work with team in building web services and web- based applications using LAMPS technologies e.g. using Codeigniter or Laravel framework, Python for automation and batch, and AWS Quicksight for BI report.
Fill in where needed on the development side to ensure daily operations at VV1 run smoothly without any interruption.
Day- to- day maintenance and support of all existing applications in use on VV1 and linked S/W.
Build new Quicksight reports and enhance existing ones as requested by internal business groups. Further, enhance other reporting technologies to improve performance and scalability of user demand.
Work with Quicksight with MySQL to develop a centralized business dashboard.

Work experience

• More than 3 years but less than 5 years.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the position will have experience and expertise in the following areas:

1. Two to four years of experience in LAMP development using Codeigniter and Laravel framework


2. Experience in building microservices and Python is a plus.


3. Proficiency in SQL development mainly on MySQL database platform.


4. Working knowledge of PL/SQL and development in databases.


5. Proficiency in Quicksight JQuery, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.


6. Complete understanding of application development life cycle.


7. Experience working with source control systems like Bitbucket or GitHub


8. Ability to accurately collect requirements and estimate the efforts involved.


9. Ability to independently work on projects and finish them within time and budget


10. Experience working with task control systems like Asana.
