Software Electronics Application Engineer

Job Summary
Responsible for providing Embedded Software/Hardware support for operations, supply chain and R&D. Troubleshooting support for new and existing products. Helps to ensure operational goals and continuous improvement for the product portfolio. Maintains, manufacturing and test equipment to ensure highest manufacturing processes uptime and reliability.
Responsibilities

Validate, document, and manage software, firmware, electronics hardware, and test equipment.
Maintain and repair tools and equipment, including soldering and test cable preparation.
Participate in the full development lifecycle, from concept and integration to testing and release.
Perform remote and on- site troubleshooting at supplier premises.
Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provide hands- on manufacturing support and troubleshooting for current and future products.
Develop and maintain automated tests and test benches to ensure product quality and functionality.
Collaborate with global Pfeiffer Vacuum development teams to ensure alignment with existing product platforms and protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar software and electronics engineering role.
Technical Skills: Strong system and component- level troubleshooting ability. Direct experience with downstream pressure control systems and vacuum valves is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Soft Skills:
Proficient in technical writing (test protocols, reports, SOPs).
Excellent organizational and time- management skills to handle competing priorities.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Other: Proficient with MS Office suite. Willingness to travel as required.

Technical Requirements
Mandatory:

Understand PCBA layouts and schematics.
PCB soldering skills
Control systems, PID, MPC.
C, C++, Python.
TI Code Composer Studio
LabVIEW
PLC from Beckhoff and Siemens.
Multimeters, Oscilloscopes and debugging tools.
EtherCat, Ethernet (TCP/IP), DeviceNet
TI DSP C2000, C28x, TMS320x.
Embedded systems firmware/software.
SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, CAN, SCI, UART interfaces
Jenkins, HIL.
