• As a
Senior Staff Engineer
, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the development, design, and expansion of our unified data platform. You will be relied on as a data expert across teams, and will work closely with other engineers, contributing to systems in all phases of the data lifecycle from ingestion through to persistence and analytics.

• Designs, documents, and builds simple and scalable solutions for complex problems with elegant and reusable architectures resulting in modular multi- system services, functions, or workflows that are resilient, maintainable, easy to monitor and pioneer best practices for engineers.
• Must maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays within their team’s projects before escalating.
• Produces code that is clear/simple, modular, loosely coupled, of low complexity, cleanly documented, meets requirements and is testable.
• May be assigned other duties.
• When taking action, weights cost and value in order to take the most economic action.
• Ensures cross- team dependencies are noted and well understood by teams involved and other relevant stakeholders.
• Understands the testing approach and uses quality metrics to identify gaps. Works with the department to recommend solutions that are in accordance with the accepted testing framework and testing pyramid. Champions department wide testing strategy.
• Demonstrates strong ability and influences others to choose proper off the shelf software frameworks and libraries when needed. Identifies complexities that can be broken out into reusable components.
