Software Tester QA QC

Ensure that all test activities conform to established standards and guidelines.
Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, exploratory, and cross- platform testing.
Recommend and apply suitable tools for different testing needs.
Collaborate with the product team to clarify requirements early and support the developer team in reducing rework.
Perform manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and backend systems. Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution using tools like Notion or Jira.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices. Participate in sprint planning, story reviews, and product discussions.
Gradually design and maintain automated test scripts once manual coverage is stable.
Review product requirements and technical specifications to create effective test plans and test cases.

🧰 WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Comfortable with device logs, slow- network simulation, and cloud device farms (AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack).
Strong attention to clean/standard UI layout, consistent UX behavior, and smooth end- to- end user flows.
Write clear, straightforward English bug reports, test cases, test plans, and other documentation.
Confident using Chrome/Firefox DevTools, LightHouse / Google Page Speed Insight and checking layouts on many screen sizes.
3+ years of experience in software testing.
Comfortable creating and updating test cases, test plans, test reports, and issue tickets in Notion or Jira.
Strong experience with manual QA processes and real- world defect identification.
Able to build API tests in Postman/Charles, check auth, rate limits, JSON/Protobuf data.
Familiar with Agile: estimating stories, joining retrospectives.
Excellent analytical, problem- solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Solid understanding of common test methods and when to use them.

🌟 NICE TO HAVE

Exposure to automated testing frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
Familiarity with Rails test frameworks: RSpec, Capybara, or Minitest.
Familiarity with performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
Experience working in advanced mobile scenarios: Background Sync, Push Notifications, Deep Link / App Link / Universal Link, CarPlay/Android Auto, Voice Assistants, Device Location…
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Experience working in a DevOps or microservices environment.
QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation).
