JOB SUMMARY
This engineer will take charge of Incoming Quality and Supplier Management. Work closely with all cross functional teams to drive for supplier development and continuous improvement
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with cross functional team to meet delivery schedules and production goals, while actively maintaining the expected level of quality
Issue ECR based on insufficient specification or specification errors
Support supplier development for new supplier and components
Work closely with suppliers and ensure quick investigation and effective Corrective / Preventive Actions / 8D are in place. Perform audits to qualify the new and existing suppliers.
Manage the process of Supplier Management, ensure suppliers provide expected quality products and services as well as help them self- develop.
Lead IQC operators to manage the process of Incoming Quality Control, ensure all materials meet internal / external quality standards.
Develop SPC on critical components at supplier’s processes.
Conduct and Prepare audit reports, technical reports, and CPAR as per requested by their superior.
Provide Technical support and training in developing supplier process controls and inspection standards e.g. gauges, inspection fixtures, poka yoke fixtures, cooling (process) fixtures
Oversee the implementation of the Visual Inspection Standard by training Assistant Team Leaders, Supplier Quality Auditors, Supplier&039;s inspectors and Supplier’s process operators.
Set up proper processes for IQC and SQE including but not limited to Visual inspection standards, supplier control plan, sampling plan, non- conforming material disposition, supplier scoring system (DPPM, Line Return Rate, Scorecard), etc. Maintain and optimize IQC and SQE management system (SOP, OI / WI) according to ISO9001.
Develop Test methods at suppliers for specific quality and engineering requirements.
Issue ECR based on insufficient specification or specification errors
Ensure team staffs are well trained with needed skills to perform required functions.
Provide training to suppliers and inspectors on component quality and engineering requirements.
