The position is responsible for:
Primary Responsibilities
Supports the food and beverage operation by cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and the premises whilst maintaining hygienic standards and practices. Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
• Responsible for emptying garbage and ensuring that paper towel dispensers and soap dispensers are filled daily.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Other ad- hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
• Mops and scrubs floor daily.
• Clean premises
• Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
• Cleans cooking utensils and kitchen equipment by hand.
• Holds inverted glass over revolving brushes to clean inside surfaces.
• Clean and store equipment
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Maintain personal hygiene
• Sets up dishwashing machine and pot washing area.
• Clean the kitchen and equipment
• Look smart – wear your uniform with pride
• Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.
• May assist with other duties as assigned by management
• Maintains par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies.
• Prepares kitchen equipment for use
• Sets up banquet tents.
• Reports daily to the Team Leader- Stewarding on duty and receives assignments.
• Participate in training
• Maintain a hygienic kitchen
• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Maintain storage areas
• Operates an automatic dishwashing machine that cleans and washes plates, cups, saucers, silverware, glasses and other dishes.
• Store goods
• Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
• Prepares tableware for washing; receives or collects tableware to be washed and removes food residue with scraper; sorts china, glassware, and silverware, placing each in separate racks or trays, standing plates and saucers on edge, and inverting cups so that they may be washed more effectively.
• Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
• Reports any difficulty or problem to Stewarding Shift leader for solution or follow up actions.
• Attend to all briefings
• Washes worktables, sinks, walls, ceiling, air vents, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Handle waste and linen
• Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
• Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
• Transports trash to disposal area.
• Cleans and washes floor and gutter drains and grease traps.
• Assists with checking and receiving goods
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
need absolute concentration when operating machinery as well as the working process
Ability to withstand pressure as well as special situations based on complex operation and various fluctuations
Main Complexity/Critical issues in the Job
Using sanitary equipment as well as chemicals must comply with the instructions of the management levels as well as the instructions of the manufacturer.
