JOB SUMMARY
The Supplier P&IC Planner utilizes acquired knowledge of their assigned suppliers, analytical skills, and critical thinking to guide the suppliers&039; production schedule, inventory strategy, and material procurement plans. The Supplier P&IC Planner monitors the production schedules and delivery performance of their suppliers, working cross- functionally with internal stakeholders to achieve strong on- time delivery performance, mitigate the risk of inventory issues in Ashley&039;s warehouses, and to achieve successful new product launches and promotions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehousing capacity & Factory production capacity reservation:
Monthly update Supplier capacity on Ashley system.
Build & Maintain the Safety Stock levels of finished goods for priority SKUs.
Understand Factory facility & Product category.
Monitoring Supplier&039;s Inventory, stock- in and stock- out q&039;ty change for overall inventory management.
Competitor analysis: be aware of all competitor&039;s product category, Strategy, production conflict.
Monitor Supplier&039;s production schedule, Materials delivery, coordinate with Supplier on expedite / defer request to meet Ashley&039;s demand:
Holding Weekly Production Schedule Meeting with Suppliers to find out the risk of production cutting delay and work out the solution.
Tracking Supplier&039;s worker number and working hours.
Ensure the Supplier&039;s production schedule is up to date on Ashley system.
Escalate the issue to direct manager to get involved in time.
Adjust Production schedule to align with actual Customer demand (expedite / defer)
Review & analyst Supplier&039;s shipment performance metric.
Tracking closely Replacement part (RP) firmed order and pushing hard Supplier to ship as deadline given by Ashley, review RP weekly penalty and airfreight follow up.
Understand the material lead- time from order date to receiver, Track the Supplier&039;s material stock vs Future forecast consumption.
Follow up third party subcontract production schedule (Whitewood, Fabric, PU...)
Documentation & Booking:
Weekly review / remind Supplier shipping documents, regulatory compliance documents submission, track and solve payment issue.
Set up training sessions for new Supplier and provide training for current Supplier periodically.
Other task assigned by Management.
Defer & cancel or swap booking as needed.
Follow up with Logistic team to release booking to Supplier in right time (ETD) & right place (Warehouse destination).
