• Educate suppliers on Gentherm quality requirements.
• Perform as the primary contact for designated suppliers and ensure that all phases of product development meet program timing and conform to required quality standards.
• Champion the Supplier Engineering Change requests related to existing product, sub- suppliers, production processes and tools, and production locations,as well as for the new material introduction using PPAP and APQP procedures
• Support with establishment of the basic incoming inspection plan with controlled characteristics for incoming inspection area
• Ensure supplier´s input in regards of customer specific requirements is stored correctly and shared with all involved functions
• Assures the annual requalification requirement is included on all supplier control plans based on the OEM customer specific requirements.
• Work in accordance with global purchasing process and supplier development process to ensure proper component introduction.
• Support manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process
• Develop long‐term supplier relationships. Qualify new component in accordance with global purchasing process.
• Conduct supplier audits in accordance with IATF16949 and VDA6.3 to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
• Validate the supplier’s capacity plan in accordance with Gentherm internal procedures
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non‐conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems
• Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply for preserial stage and support serial components in case of escalation
• Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Gentherm requirements. Projects may include: VDA6.3 audit, process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6‐Sigma, Lean, 5S and Kaizen events
• Drive the APQP & PPAP approval process with supplier and be liaison between supplier and project team.
• Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conformances at project phase
• Implement,Monitor, maintain and update supplier audit system and schedule
• Encourage “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base
• Participate on definition of material specifications with Engineering, Purchasing and supplier.
• Support purchasing/order center with SAP maintenance connected with component

Experience
• At least +02 years&039; experience in carrying out audits according to ISO 9001 OR IATF 16949
• Minimum +03 year in Manufacturing environment; automotive industry is preferred
• Proven record of high level of compliance and quality mind set
• At least +02 years experienced in the same position, level, environment; automotive industry is preferred
Education:
Bachelor degree in Engineering
