About this role:
This role is responsible for overseeing all supply chain operations to ensure the efficient & cost effective procurement, logistics & warehouse activities for Highland Coffee Roastery. This role will lead a team of procurement and warehouse personnel to manage supplier relationships, maintain operational excellence across the supply chain to ensure the material supply & proper production planning to meet the demand of customers, manage the cost of goods sold (COGS) and optimize department budgets.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide regular reporting on supply chain performance metrics to the Production Manager.
Supply Chain Optimization Assist Production Manager in managing manufacturing budgets including COGS, and Warehouse productivity targets.
Analyze supply chain data & identify cost- saving opportunities, reduce waste and implement measures to improve operational efficiency.
Procurement Management
Supervise the Procurement Specialist to source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage key vendor relationships.
Collaborate with planning and production team to develop a consolidated forecast, and execute based on demand and supply plan.
Develop and implement procurement plan to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, packaging supplies, and other necessary inputs for coffee production.
Review and approve purchase orders, monitor order status, and resolve any operational issues.
Warehouse Management
Collaborate with vendors to ensure smooth logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
Optimize logistics operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight cost management.
Oversee the efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
In partnership with QA, ensuring compliance with regulatory and government agency across local and global (labeling, Halal, ingredient content…).
Develop and implement warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, picking, and packing, to ensure accurate and efficient order processing.
Manage transportation, and delivery activities to ensure on- time and accurate order fulfillment.
Team Management
Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Supervise and manage team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Train new team members to operate autonomously while adhering to standards.
