Production and Material Planning:
Develop and maintain short- term and long- term production plans based on sales forecasts, historical data, and OEM commitments.
Implement best practices in production planning to improve efficiency and meet customer expectations.
Collaborate with Demand Planning teams to align supply plans with forecasted demand and minimize gaps.
Monitor deviations between forecasted and actual production and adjust plans accordingly.
Work closely with the Production team to optimize production schedules, ensuring efficient capacity utilization and minimal waste.
Material Requirement Planning (MRP):
Establish buffer stock policies for critical materials to prevent supply chain disruptions.
Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement in material sourcing.
Analyze material consumption trends, lead times, and supplier reliability to adjust purchasing strategies proactively.
Work closely with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure on- time delivery of raw materials while avoiding overstocking.
Develop and manage Material Requirement Plans (MRP) to ensure raw materials and packaging availability for production.
Inventory Management & Optimization:
Work with Warehouse and Procurement teams to improve stock rotation, reduce aging inventory, and prevent obsolescence.
Implement analysis to prioritize critical raw materials and finished goods.
Implement inventory control strategies to ensure stock availability while minimizing carrying costs.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimal stock levels to prevent shortages and overstocking.
Develop inventory KPIs and inventory turnover ratios, to optimize working capital.
Strategic Procurement & Cost Optimization:
Work with finance to align procurement budgets with overall business targets.
Provide strategic recommendations on supplier selection, contract negotiations, and long- term sourcing strategies.
Collaborate with the Procurement team to identify cost- saving opportunities while ensuring a stable supply of materials.
Conduct cost- benefit analyses with procurement team to optimize purchasing decisions and reduce procurement costs.
Assess risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply shortages.
New Product Launch & Project Management:
Act as the Supply planning representative in new product development (NPD) projects, ensuring smooth integration into production planning.
Conduct post- launch evaluations to improve future product introductions.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may affect the launch timeline.
Ensure that new product demand is integrated into the S&OP process to maintain alignment.
Work with R&D, Marketing, PM and demand team to develop launch plans that align with supply chain capabilities.
Reporting and Performance Analysis:
Report key supply chain KPIs, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and propose corrective actions.
Develop and maintain supply planning reports, including forecast accuracy, production efficiency, inventory status, and material availability.
Generate MRP reports and analyze trends to make data- driven decisions for production and procurement.
Utilize SAP, Power BI, and Excel to generate detailed reports and insights.
