Systems Architect Hybrid/Fully Remote

playSTUDIOS is seeking a Systems Architect to design and implement robust technical solutions that support our suite of web applications to ensure seamless integration with third- party games and apps. You will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to align business requirements with technical strategy, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems.

The Systems Architect will report to the Technical Director with duties including:

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams in implementing the proposed architecture and solutions.
Contribute to the development of internal tooling and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development team.
Identify potential risks and proactively propose mitigation strategies.
Define and evolve the system architecture across, backend services, internal platforms, and operational tooling.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve solutions.
Work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure the architecture is translated effectively into development work.
Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to evolve and future- proof our systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and other architects to integrate systems across the organization.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and development practices (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
Strong understanding of microservices, containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Good command of English- written and spoken.
Familiarity with API design and integration (REST, GraphQL, SOAP, etc.).
5+ years of experience in systems architecture, with a proven track record in architecting web applications, tooling solutions, and integrations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non- technical stakeholders.
Experience with authentication, security protocols, and identity management (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Ability to collaborate in a fast- paced, cross- functional environment.
Strong background in designing scalable, high- performance systems.
Extensive experience with web technologies (e.g., Node.js, React, Angular, Python, Java, etc.).
Expertise in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, distributed databases).
Familiar and comfortable with agile methodologies
