Tagging Engineer

Job Description:
As a Tagging Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing digital analytics tools, understanding and interpreting website traffic metrics, and ensuring the quality of web analytics data. You will collaborate closely with other team members and report performance metrics to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Test applications independently, ensuring high quality and accuracy of analytics implementations.
· Utilize knowledge of analytics and digital marketing to enhance data accuracy and insight generation.
· Maintain intermediate- level Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
· Use tools like Omnibug for testing web analytics implementations.
· Understand and interpret website traffic metrics including pageviews, sessions, orders placed, and add- to- cart events.
· Collaborate daily with team members to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
· Manage the defect workflow from identification to closure, ensuring proactive tracking of bugs.
· Report performance metrics across all domains to senior management.
· Utilize JIRA for task management and defect tracking.
· Apply knowledge of HTML and JavaScript to tagging and analytics tasks.
· Implement and manage digital analytics tools such as GA4, GTM, and Adobe Launch DTM.
· Conduct web- based application testing.
· Apply estimation methodologies and adhere to quality processes.

Required Skillset:
(1) Necessary to have
· Knowledge of estimation methodologies and quality processes.
· Ability to test applications independently.
· Proactive in tracking bugs raised to closure.
· Understanding of website traffic metrics like pageviews, sessions, orders placed, and add- to- cart events.
· Basic knowledge of digital analytics tools such as GA4, GTM, and Adobe Launch DTM.
· Proficiency in analytics and digital marketing concepts.
· Experience in collaborating with team members and reporting to senior management.
· Experience in defect workflow management, from identification to closure.
· Excellent communication skills.
(2) Preferred to have
· Experience with tools like Omnibug for testing web analytics.
· Working knowledge of JIRA.
· Intermediate- level Excel skills.
· Experience in web- based application testing.
· Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
Note: Preferred skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
