Teaching Assistant

Support work: Provides support to the Homeroom Teachers/ Special Teachers/ Vietnamese Teacher as requested:
- Assist in field trips and sport events: Understand and work well with the system and processes, and take initiatives in assisting in fieldtrips and sport events. Help supervise students on field trips, in the gymnasium, stadium... Enforce school rules and policies
- Use appropriate strategies to support students&039; learning: collaborates with teacher to plan strategies, varies strategies to meet student needs, encourages student independence, help teachers develop lesson plans and prepare materials
- Ensure punctual attendance and time keeping: Highly conscientious in time keeping and meeting all deadlines for tasks and projects. Always punctual for duties. Often volunteers overtime when tasks need completing.
Interaction with students
- Maintain good teaching- learning rapport with students: Has a good rapport with students and confidently guides them in managing their behavior is positive ways
- Model and collaborate to implement good behavior: Interactions are mutually highly respectful, warm, caring and show detailed knowledge of individual students, sets examples and develops in others positive behaviors
Class Management:
- Manage small groups and one to one exercise with students under teacher supervision: Manages a small group of students confidently, communicates and encourages student learning positively, supports whole class activities and reinforces the teachers&039; instructions and help student master assignments.
- Proactively manage students&039; discipline in alignment with classroom agreement: Actively collaborate with teacher to maintain discipline, class activities continue with minimal interruption when teacher is absent
Others:
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom;
- Perform clerical duties as assigned;
- Conferring with parents or guardians, teachers and administrators in order to resolve students&039; behavioral and academic concerns;
- Attending faculty meetings, professional development and parent conferences;
- Enforce school policies and rules;
- Participating in department & school events; and other assigned tasks;
- Commitment and contribute to the development of school, willing to learn and share the knowledge with others;
- Keep class organized, clean and tidy;

The successful applicant will possess the following experience and qualities:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Degree in English Language or other fields
- Skills in class management, time management, critical thinking and teamwork
- Organizational skills;  Standard Northern accent
- Patient, ethical, flexible, devoted, positive and cooperative
- 1+ years&039; experience in a similar role, preferably in an international learning environment where English is preferred
