About the role
We are seeking a hands- on Senior Technical Product Owner (Product Team Lead, depending on experience and growth potential) to join VUS Edtech, the team behind the OVI product ecosystem.
You will directly oversee key digital products (OVI Parents App, OVI IELTS, and VUS’s operational digital services), and collaborate cross- functionally with academic, design, and engineering teams to deliver impactful and scalable online products for millions of learners and families.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, product management, and education. You will lead the full product lifecycle from ideation to execution while driving innovation, user experience, and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCT & TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT (60%):
Product Ownership (30%)
- Define clear business and user goals, write PRDs, and manage product backlogs.
- Proactively work with cross- department stakeholders or third- party vendors to enhance product functionality and ecosystem integration.
- Lead user research and validation to deeply understand learners’ and parents’ pain points, and translate insights into actionable features.
- Proactively collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure product quality, scalability, and technical feasibility.
Cross- Department Collaboration (30%)
- Coordinate with stakeholders from Curriculum Development, Academic, Marketing, Operations, and ASA Sales/Care to align product development with business goals.
- Serve as the key liaison for IT (VUS Operational system like ERP CoreEdu, VCore, VHub) and Corporate team, ensuring smooth integration and daily operations across systems.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & PROCESS ENHANCEMENT (40%):
Agile (Scrum) project management (20%)
- Act as the Sprint Host, managing sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for the scrum team.
- Ensure timely delivery of sprints, while maintaining clarity, communication, and accountability.
Operational Excellence (15%)
- Document key processes and ensure operational improvements are effectively executed.
- Provide advisory and process optimization support for Product and cross- functional teams.
- Analyze and refine internal product workflows and collaboration frameworks.
Helpdesk tickets & ad- hoc product operations management (5%)
- Support with Helpdesk tickets management, intern mentoring, and ad- hoc product operations tasks.
