Technician Supervisor

Maintains safety awareness. Reviews log book.
Manages the day to day operation of the Engineering department. Supervises staff in routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
Assists with the recruitment and training of engineering staff in accordance with hotel guidelines. Ensures all work performed by staff is compliant with codes and regulations.
Liaise with contractors to schedule work required. Maintains staff relations.
Implements other duties as required and directed by the Chief Engineer
Follows up on all outstanding work orders.
Inspects all work for ensuring it conforms with hotel and government specifications Ensures all staff are well groomed and in the correct uniform.
Conducts Inventory.
Inspects areas to ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled. Prepares the weekly schedule for all staff.
Checks employee attendance.

3 years of engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good communication and writing skills Literate in the use of Microsoft Office
Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with other; demonstrated abilitiy to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
