Test Engineering Team Lead for Integration Components
As the Test Engineering Team Lead for Integration Components, you will play a pivotal role in supervising the technical design, automation, execution and resolution of the Integration test packages.
Your role & responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of junior test engineers, providing clear guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages innovation and excellence.
- Effectively manage team resources, ensuring optimal allocation for project deliverables.
- Functional and Technical Knowledge Upskilling:
- Identify the skill gaps within the team and develop targeted training plans to upskill junior test engineers on Integration Components aspects of Murex and related Business Processes.
- Collaborate with Murex Product teams to design and conduct training sessions to enhance product knowledge related to Integration Components.
- Act as a mentor/tutor on functional and technical aspects to junior test engineers.
- Stay updated on test management trends and best practices to ensure the team's skills remain cutting-edge.
What you will do:
- Supervision of Test Packages: Oversee the design and build of Trading test packages, ensuring they align with the stream's objectives.
- Execution and Resolution: Supervise the execution and resolution of test packages, complying with the target objectives set by the Test Unit Manager for Murex Vietnam.
- Support and Escalation: Act as the first level of escalation for Test Engineers in the Test operations, providing support and guidance, particularly during the resolution of failed tests (e.g. “greening”)
- Training Recommendations: Recommend relevant training programs based on the scope of RTPs and identified gaps in resources.
- Stream Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Trading Stream, applying the common operating model in line with established processes and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in testing processes, ensuring compliance with internal processes, industry standards, and regulations.
- Efficiency Enhancement:
- Propose and drive the implementation of optimization measures for RTP implementation.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency, reduce testing cycle times, and lower operational costs.
- Optimize RTP operations in terms of content and cost while maintaining high testing quality.
- Deliverable Capitalization: Ensure the quality and capitalization of the deliverables for the Trading stream, including impact notes and change articles.
- Defect Correction: Drive the defect correction process, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Test Unit Manager and Test leads of Murex Vietnam to foster a cohesive and productive work environment, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
- Community of Experts: Act as key member in a community of experts where you collaborate and share your knowledge to collectively advance the Test Unit and drive meaningful innovation.
Other responsibilities
- On need basis, you may also be playing the Test Lead role:
- Own and ensure the successful execution & analysis of Client automated test suites,
- Coordinate the deliverables and timelines with Murex team facing Client.
Your skills & qualifications
- At least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within an IT operations environment or in a Murex support or project team.
- 5 years of development experience in Java, XML, XSL, JavaScript, SQL is mandatory.
- Experience in Unix, windows OS, able to develop scripting/batch files.
- Experience: Software testing and quality assurance is a big plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
- Interest in Software Testing Automation: A genuine interest in software testing automation and the willingness to gain deep expertise in Murex test automation techniques during your onboarding.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex challenges within the Integration domain.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Experience in Murex Integration modules (Datamart, MxMLExchange, Market Data) is a plus.
