At Operation Smile Vietnam, our volunteer network makes a difference in the lives of children every day. Our volunteers reach out to each child, generously offering their time, their knowledge, and their skills to assist in raising funds and awareness, or to participate on our medical teams.

New Medical Volunteers
Operation Smile medical volunteers are credentialed to ensure patients are getting the best possible care. Operation Smile has a rigorous credentialing process for all medical volunteers that includes pre- certification in their respective fields (surgery, anesthesia, pediatric medicine, dentistry, nursing, child life specialist, etc.), as well as ongoing training, evaluation, and mentoring periods.

Operation Smile is pleased to offer Medical students their fourth or final- year Mission opportunities. This is an observational- only role.
Medical Students
NON- MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS
Changing children’s lives does not begin and end with medical volunteers. You can help to heal a child’s smile by sharing your time, talent, and resources as a local non- medical volunteer. We need your help to share our cause, complete smile service projects, and raise funds – so that children across the globe can receive free, life- changing surgery from our Operation Smile medical volunteers. There are many diverse community volunteer opportunities from participating in fundraising events to joining our medical missions as non- medical volunteers. Our community volunteer opportunities allow you and your group to use your special talents to help heal children’s smiles worldwide.
Who can join Operation Smile network of community volunteers?
We are looking for volunteers:

In good physical and mental health
Having a good sense of responsibilities
Fluency in both English and Vietnamese
Agree to serve as a volunteer in the working day
Above the age of 14

Getting started
Operation Smile volunteers regularly receive information/announcements about activities including medical missions, events, initiatives, and so on in Vietnam via email. Under certain circumstances, volunteers are encouraged to register for suitable vacancies in order to maximize their support to the cause of bringing smiles to children in Vietnam of Operation Smile.
