JOB OVERVIEWCoconut Silo is looking for a Transportation Manager who has the ability and experience of running, consulting, and developing a business related to in- land transportation and logistics operations. Additionally, the Transportation Manager is responsible for supporting and consulting the Head of Sales Dept. on processes and regulations of the road transportation industry in general.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build up systems and processes for road transportation & logistics
Directly manage assigned projects.
Manage drivers, operating team to control the daily activities.
Work directly with the Head of Department to develop procedures, attend at the field to check and support drivers & monitor any issues when needed.
Arrange and control the daily schedule for delivery.
Monitor, maintain cycle of equipment (Cars, trucks,...) and repair if needed.
Mobilize outsourced individual vehicles, linked vehicles to transport goods for the whole system and business platform.
Understand, draft and consult on all documents related to transportation/ logistics.
Work with accounting & sales departments to maintain daily operation.
Coordinate and plan transportation for the company&039;s transport team and the company&039;s transport partner units.
Management & Operation
Manage transportation costs, refine and improve processes to save costs.
Work directly with customers, receive orders, process orders, solve problems arising during transportation.
Manage files, assets, documents related to vehicles, means of transportation.
Control delivery progress, delivery schedule, handling and reporting problems arising during transportation, track the delivery progress until the transport is completed.
Train and recruit drivers, manage and driver payment handling.
Experienced in handling transport incidents (including overtime).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, International Business or other related majors
In- depth knowledge of the in- land transportation industry.
Great communication and collaboration skills to work with drivers
English skills: Intermediate working proficiency above.
Have critical thinking, excellent analytical and problem- solving abilities.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
At least 03 years of experience at the same position in a logistics company is an advantage
