Trims Purchasing Teamlead

Trims Purchasing Teamlead is the person in charge of ordering trim from Oversea and local to comply with sample and production requirements. Also responsible for the supplier we used to work for UA and be sure we use the correct and best one for our customer. The key to success for this person is having the right quality trims at the right time and the best price. Ensure the trim purchaser follows SOP strictly, and be sure we get the best price, lead time, surcharge, and quality from the supplier we work with.
Order raw material to supplier

Send tt copy of full payment to supplier to get invoices
Reactive in tracking trims purchasing/ developing to meet leadtime
Ask supplier to ship after receiving payment
Ask warehouse to create trims code
Check trims po file
Transfer the price & leadtime of oversea shipment to merch
Update po status on the system
Transfer documents to purchasing admin to process for deposit
Receive shipping sample of trims
Receive trims purchase order with merch’s signature
Make a list of received trims weekly
Review the shipping sample compared to the request
Draft the appendix of trims purchase contract (if need)
Ordering the fabric/trims 24 hour later after receive the po from merchandiser.
Work with import&export team team to arrange the oversea shipment
Transfer documents to purchasing admin to process full payment
Work with supplier to update the actual price & leadtime after receiving the official po
Negotiate the best prices, surcharge, quality and leadtime with suppliers
Work with supplier to make extra/ return
Make grn & send to merch for confirmation
Provide documents for warehouse to ask for stock in
Make a request to check trims before stock in
Send the trims code to merch
Send tt copy of deposit to supplier
Transfer shipping sample of trims & the approved sample trims to qa for quality inspection

Supplier Management

Update price and other information on database
Attend pp meeting & feedback before starting bulk production
Hold follow up meeting for trims issue
Rework with supplier to further improve trims in bulk
Evaluate supplier’s performance & negotiate for long- term orders

Graduate University degree.
Experiences 4- 5 years of same level in garment field or trims purchasing
Fluent in English
Purchasing and Planning experience at least 5 years
