About IPA- NIMA
As we expand our product development and design capabilities, we are seeking a motivated and detail- oriented Assistant Bag Designer & Merchandising Coordinator to support both the creative and operational aspects of our product lifecycle.
IPA- NIMA is an artisanal handbag brand renowned for its handcrafted detailing, cultural storytelling, and East- meets- West design philosophy. Role Overview
This hybrid role requires a strong foundation in bag/accessory design with a focus on embellishments, as well as hands- on experience in merchandising processes including sample development, costing, and production handover. The successful candidate will work closely with our Design Director, production teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support

Assist in developing seasonal collections with a focus on embellishments, including embroidery, appliqué, and beading.
Conduct material and trend research to propose new techniques, trims, and decorative elements.
Collaborate with artisans and suppliers to develop embroidery panels and decorative samples.
Create detailed technical sketches, illustrations, and detailed design specification sheets.
Maintain accurate design records and design library updates.

Sample & Production Merchandising

Monitor production status and support quality control processes based on sampling requirements.
Liaise with the sampling team and subcontractors to ensure sample specifications are executed accurately and on time.
Coordinate sampling processes, including material ordering, delivery tracking, and timeline monitoring.
Review mock- ups and prototypes to confirm design integrity and alignment with client or internal standards.
Prepare and maintain detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Cost Breakdown Documents (CBDs) for all samples.
Ensure seamless production handover by confirming final spec packs, materials, and design approvals.

Mô tả công việc
Hỗ trợ Thiết kế

Tạo bản vẽ kỹ thuật, minh họa và tài liệu thiết kế chi tiết.
Phát triển bộ sưu tập theo mùa, tập trung vào chi tiết trang trí (thêu, đính hạt, appliqué).
Quản lý hồ sơ thiết kế, thư viện mẫu.
Phối hợp với thợ thủ công, nhà cung cấp để phát triển mẫu thêu, trang trí.
Nghiên cứu chất liệu, xu hướng, đề xuất kỹ thuật và chi tiết mới.

Merchandising – Mẫu & Sản xuất

Kiểm tra mẫu thử, nguyên mẫu, đảm bảo tính toàn vẹn thiết kế.
Chuẩn bị và duy trì BOMs (Bill of Materials) và bảng tính giá.
Điều phối quy trình làm mẫu: đặt nguyên liệu, theo dõi tiến độ, giao hàng.
Liên hệ với đội ngũ mẫu & nhà thầu phụ để đảm bảo đúng yêu cầu.
Hỗ trợ bàn giao sang sản xuất, giám sát chất lượng theo yêu cầu mẫu.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience working with BOMs, costing sheets, and technical spec documentation.
Strong communication and coordination skills, especially in liaising with cross- functional teams and suppliers.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent digital design tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a deadline- driven environment.
Basic knowledge of embroidery, beading, or artisanal embellishment techniques.
Degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, Product Development, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in bag or accessory design, preferably within a decorative or embellishment- focused context.
Excellent organizational and time- management skills with attention to detail.

Yêu cầu

Tốt nghiệp ngành Thiết kế Thời trang, Thiết kế Phụ kiện, Phát triển sản phẩm hoặc tương đương.

Kỹ năng giao tiếp và phối hợp tốt với nhiều bộ phận
1–3 năm kinh nghiệm trong thiết kế túi/phụ kiện, ưu tiên trong mảng trang trí/thủ công.
Kinh nghiệm làm việc với BOMs, bảng giá, tài liệu kỹ thuật.
Thành thạo Illustrator, Photoshop hoặc phần mềm thiết kế tương tự.
Kỹ năng tổ chức, quản lý thời gian, chú ý đến chi tiết.
Có khả năng quản lý nhiều dự án song song trong môi trường áp lực.
Ưu tiên ứng viên có khả năng giao tiếp tốt bằng tiếng Anh và tiếng Việt (nói & viết).
