Position Overview
You will collaborate closely with directors, producers, and the creative team to turn raw footage, interviews, and visual assets into compelling stories that align with RICE’s vision and values. We’re looking for someone who combines technical editing skills with creative intuition — a disciplined, proactive team player who takes ownership of every project from start to finish.
As a Video Editor, you will play a central role in shaping the storytelling and visual identity of our projects. From documentaries and branded content to TV commercials and web series, your work will bring ideas to life through strong narrative flow and emotional impact.
Responsibilities
Add titles, color grading, sound design, and visual effects to elevate the film’s tone and quality.
Follow company workflows and project management structures to ensure timely delivery of all versions — from rough cuts to final exports.
DIT for shoots.
Review and analyze interview transcripts and footage to identify the most compelling narrative angles.
Contribute ideas and creative input during team discussions, helping to strengthen the overall storytelling direction.
Ensure all output meets production standards in length, format, and resolution, while maintaining storytelling integrity.
Collaborate effectively with producers, writers, and strategists to translate creative briefs into visual stories that achieve communication goals.
Apply creative storytelling techniques, pacing, and rhythm to enhance audience engagement.
Edit and assemble raw material into cohesive, emotionally resonant stories across diverse formats — including TV commercials, branded content, documentaries, reality shows, and web series.
Understand and apply AI into editting workflow.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to handle diverse types of content (commercial, documentary, branded, entertainment).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (both spoken and written).
A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the quality and impact of your edits.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve is a plus) with a strong foundation in video editing techniques and storytelling structure.
A creative mindset with strong visual sensitivity and narrative intuition.
Highly organized, disciplined, and able to work efficiently under deadlines.
Solution- driven and adaptable, with a positive attitude towards feedback and challenges.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or related fields.
