STEM Teacher
Working Location: Him Lam International School, Him Lam Green Park, Dai Phuc, Bac Ninh.
Duties
• Ensure that lesson plans are adapted to ensure differentiation for students who have additional needs.
• Evaluate each student’s performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understanding, and prepare the necessary written and oral progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure parents, and relevant stakeholders, are updated with children&039;s status and progress.
• Make a plan to order, organise and inventory storage areas and control the use of materials, equipment, and tools to prevent loss or abuse, and to minimise the time required for distribution and collection.
• Ensure effective utilisation of resources, materials, and equipment.
• Observe and evaluate student wellbeing, as a subject teacher and homeroom teacher, to promote and support their personal and social development.
• To plan and deliver STEM lessons in accordance to Cambridge and STEM requirements.
• Maintain up- to- date records and forward lesson plans for approval to the Head of International Programme under the guidance and with approval from the School Director.
• Ensure regular collaboration with SEN and EAL to ensure a holistic approach is followed regarding students of varying developmental levels.
• Participate in school activities such as Open Day, Admissions Day, After School Activities, PD training or Parent- Teacher Conferences.
• Maintain constant awareness of the needs of any children to whom English is another language.
• Guide students in the proper care and use of tools and equipment.
• Plan and present STEM displays and projects designed to showcase students’ work for the school, the community and any external assessing bodies.
• Check the attendance of students at lessons and follow up on what they are doing as well as on the quality of class work, homework and any other coursework.
• Keep parent communication platforms updated per requirements set at the beginning of the year. Add additional information as per request.
• Maintain cordial relations and communication with other school staff members.
• Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Head of the International Programme as director line manager or the School Director
• Provide individual and small- group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and science abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.
• Participate in curriculum, homeroom, extra- curricular and other developmental programmes such as after- school STEM club.
• Communicate with parents, Head of International Programme and other members of the school’s Leadership team on student progress.
