Academic Director – Vin Nexus CenterFor the special education expert who wants to build a pioneering special needs curriculum blueprint.
If you:
Care passionately about shaping curricula that truly fit each learner’s profile, not the other way around.
Believe long- term impact depends on strong academic systems- clear structures, consistent expectations, and integrated support.
See curriculum as a living, holistic framework that lets students with special needs actually flourish, not just cope.
…then Vin Nexus Center may be the place where your expertise has its greatest impact.
Vin Nexus Center is a not- for- profit special needs school in Vietnam, founded by Vingroup- one of the country’s largest corporations- through its social enterprise arm, with a mission to offer world- class, evidence- based education for students with ASD, ADHD, SLD, mild ID, and developmental delays through purpose- built curricula and individualised learning pathways. We are now inviting an Academic Director to shape the learning core of this mission: the curriculum, the classrooms, and the professional culture that will guide our students throughout their school lives.
We are seeking an Academic Director who:
Thrives on working with teachers, taking genuine satisfaction in coaching, observing and developing them into a cohesive team with a shared pedagogy for diverse learners.
Keeps student wellbeing and individuality at the center, tailoring academic goals and supports to fit each learner’s pace and profile.
Brings significant experience in special education, typically 7- 10 years or more, with a strong track record in academic leadership, curriculum design, IEPs and assessment for students with ASD, ID and SLD.
Is motivated by the challenge of creating a special education school model that does not yet fully exist in Vietnam, where curriculum, teaching, and assessment set a new benchmark for quality in SPED.
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement, and regularly review the school’s special education programs, including adapted/simplified curriculum frameworks, IEP frameworks, and assessment methodologies aligned with our students’ profiles.
Work closely with the Clinical Services Director and therapeutic/intervention teams to effectively integrate therapeutic goals and strategies into classroom instruction, ensuring students experience one coherent learning journey.
Lead teachers through academic role assignment, pedagogical coaching, classroom observation, feedback, and structured professional development plannìng.
Ensure teaching and learning quality by setting clear academic standards, designing evaluation systems, and systematically monitoring student progress across the school.
What we offer
The rare opportunity to help build a high- impact special education school model that can create lasting social value for children, families, and the wider educational field in Vietnam.
A deeply mission- driven environment where educators and clinicians share the same goal: helping special needs learners grow, belong, and thrive over the long term.
A compensation package that recognises the weight of your role- competitive and aligned with your expertise, leadership, and the responsibility of shaping a new kind of special education school.
A space to grow as a leader and pioneer, with the support of Vingroup and Vinschool’s broader educational ecosystem.
Further details on compensation and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
If you’re ready to use your expertise to build a pioneering special education school model in Vietnam, join us at Vin Nexus Center and shape a legacy that will transform how children with special needs are taught, supported, and understood for years to come.
