Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Import/Export Compliance:
· Partner with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to resolve any import/export issues.
· Stay informed about international trade laws, tariffs, and customs regulations.
· Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs, Incoterms, etc.).
· Manage import/export documentation and customs clearance processes.
· Maintain accurate records for periodic/annual Customs inspections.
· Classify goods according to harmonized tariff schedules.
· Work closely with customs brokers to determine accurate tariff codes.
· Manage VAT compliance for incoming raw materials, outbound finished goods, and unused/scrap raw materials for disposal.
Shipping & Receiving:
· Manage documentation for domestic and international shipments including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
· Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to meet shipping schedules and cost objectives.
· Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
· Monitor and improve shipping accuracy and on- time delivery metrics.
Warehouse Operations:
· Ensure accurate inventory control processes through cycle counts and reconciliations.
· Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
· Manage daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
· Optimize warehouse layout, material handling, and workflow to support efficiency and space utilization.
Logistics Management:
· Develop and implement logistics strategies to reduce costs, improve service, and support business growth.
· Track and analyze KPIs for freight performance, cost control, and delivery reliability.
· Lead the selection, negotiation, and management of transportation providers for both domestic and international shipments.
Leadership & Collaboration:
· Collaborate cross- functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams.
· Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability within the team.
· Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics staff to achieve operational excellence.

Education
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (pivot tables, v- lookups, data analysis), Word (document preparation), and Teams (communication and collaboration).
· Proficient in ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
· Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
· Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and global shipping practices.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem- solving skills.
· 5+ years of experience managing warehouse and logistics operations in a global manufacturing or distribution environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
· Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
· Fluent in English.
· Ability to work in a fast- paced and dynamic environment.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Working Conditions
Essential physical requirements
· Able to actively participate in container loading/unloading and direct the loading team to oversee container loading/unloading.
· Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
· Able to effectively work in warehouse, factory, & office settings.
· Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and working at a computer for long periods throughout the day.
· Able to travel to outbound port or Customs as required.
