Responsibilities :
Key tasks
Ensuring smooth operation of Lamination production in regards to safety, cleanliness, worker discipline, working equipment and tools, efficient use of space. Assisting production manager in managing foremen, team leaders and observing flow building material and equipment, parts and acting on late or missing parts and material.
Safety and orderliness within factory:
Observing workers compliance to safety rules, dust prevention
Workshop improvement projects – lighting, safety, ergonomic. Giving recommendations for improvements, following up plan for implementations
Waste Management and Waste Reduction
5S, and Continuous Improvement initiative is essential
Ensuring workshop Safety First & OHSE is always applied
Worker management:
New worker inductions – Systematically introduce new workers to our production workshop
Conduct worker evaluations – 2 or 3 times per year conduct worker evaluations and interviews to help with people management
Worker Basic training – following on from induction continue with basic training based on our induction program.
Monitoring if working hours recording are correct, observing overall hours of teams for specific boats
Initiating regular Toolbox training/Work group meetings
Worker reprimands and Official Warnings
Observing workers performance, attitude, proper gear/clothing, individual workspace illumination
Production process
Develop Lean Production Manufacturing and continuous improvement
Monitoring sub warehouse performance and material flow
Supervising foremen to follow the cycle times and tasks Ensuring that all critical checks are carried out and monitored
Be a part of the final QA team for each boat. Working with the final QA documents and various items to complete and reporting issues to the Management
Manage and control schedules for build cycles of production line. Be involved in the day to day running and organization of the production. Gain a good understanding of each section in the build. Be a part of improving each sections production time.
Record of tools and equipment stored for section and team, taking care the right amount and quality of tools are available.
Parts and Material flow / BOM:
Daily managing of raw material for lamination stage.
Updating Bill of Materials
Monitoring stock levels and reporting to production manager. Updating on forecasts to maintain production schedules
Communicating between departments for any quality issues or late parts
Handover and recording of finished parts to other Departments
Other tasks :
Supervising loading and unloading of boat parts for relocation and de- molding – regarding safety, schedule, damage avoidance
