Addressing and resolving operational issues, and staff conflicts

Deputizing and responsible for all departmental administration in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and financial reporting
Assist in planning and executing events, marketing initiatives
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Maintaining open communication with staff, management, and potentially suppliers
Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers, professionally addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction
In conjunction with the Restaurant Manager, responsible for maintaining high standards of professional service at all times in the restaurant and bar areas
In conjunction with the Restaurant Manager, produce and implement a departmental policy and procedure, to be reviewed annually
Assist in the day- to- day running of the department, including staff management, customer service, and inventory control
Assist the Restaurant Manager in developing, motivating, managing and training team to optimize performance and identifying training needs through a regular appraisal system.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, order supplies, and optimize stock control
Contribute to menu development and pricing strategies to optimize revenue

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with hotel staff and management
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Smile, and other relevant software
Ability to work under pressure and multitask
Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety standards
Acceptance of work shifts
Experience in an assistant or supervisory role or relevant
Strong skills in numeracy, problem- solving, organization, and training
Excellent communication skills when interacting with guests and colleagues
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
