Position Summary
Assistant Spa Manager for The Grand Ho Tram Strip property is responsible for helping manage the daily operations of the Spa and Fitness Center that will set the pace for the elite hospitality market. Excellence will be obtained by ensuring operational needs are met, superior customer service is provided, and the staff is trained and empowered. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices and procedures, as well as within the framework and intent of the Vision of The Grand Ho Tram Strip property.
Responsibilities
• Must be able to assist in the training of Therapists with a set of thorough, expert, complete and knowledgeable massage treatments, always using professional methods, draping techniques and adhering to the Therapists Code of Ethics.
• Maintains close work relationships with other departments and their leaders to promote feedback, cross training and efficient operations.
• Will provide assistance in servicing guests in between training schedules.
• Helps facilitate daily operations of the Spa to reflect sophistication in services and seamless service to the customer.
• Market and sell the spa facilities, services, and products conveying their opulence to the customer.
• Must practice methods, which comply with sanitation, and health guidelines established by local regulations and the Property’s Policies and Procedures. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the Spa and Fitness areas.
• Responsible for helping standardize, maintain, update and training of all Therapists on Spa policies.
• Conduct a daily walk- through and inspection of the spa, fitness and retail facilities.
• Supervise spa reservations to ensure maximum yield and labor efficiency.
• Responsible for supervising and mentoring Therapists as per the established Spa Protocols, and Corporate Standards, Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure that inventories are conducted regularly and accurately for all retail products, linen and professional products.
• Recommend personnel changes in assigned areas, including the hiring, promotion, demotion, and vacations, leaves of absence and release of staff.
• Assist in the development and update of Spa service offerings.
• Perform other jobs related to same functions and duties or assume other responsibilities and functions as assigned by management.
• Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
• Keeps leadership informed on a timely basis of any undue variance from expected results.
• Ensures all activities performed within the department are in accordance with the company’s business objectives, and established safety and security standards.
• Hires, trains, motivate, and provide regular communication to the team to deliver service with unmatched sophistication and professionalism while fostering a culture of accountability.
• Will work to maintain vendor relationships for the brand and will develop brand standards for services, products, protocols, and retail support.
• Proactively making certain the facility, services and equipment are clean and in optimal working order.
• Trains, motivates, and provides regular communication to the team to deliver service with unmatched sophistication and professionalism while fostering a culture of accountability.
• Must provide a detailed explanation of all treatment techniques to be used on guest, as well as their comfort, assessing guest’s requirements and concerns, and anticipating guest’s needs. Provide any additional details or services to go above and beyond the guests’ expectations.
• Must ensure Therapists maintain a medical facility grade of cleanliness in the treatment area at all times, and practicing all sanitation and safety guidelines as required by any applicable regulations and by the Policies & Procedures.
• Recommend personnel changes in assigned areas, including promotion, demotion, and vacations, leaves of absence and release of staff.
• Communicates with partnering departments and peers to achieve superior customer satisfaction and efficient utilization of manpower and facilities.
• Recommend/implement incentive programs in department that addresses reducing costs or increasing revenues and meets company’s budgetary guidelines.
• Promotes a positive work environment that stimulates and motivates employees to acceptable levels of turnover, absenteeism, and promotions.
