Job Overview:
bTaskee is looking for a Middle/Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of backend systems powering an O2O (Online- to- Offline) on- demand service platform.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling backend services that support real- time order matching, scheduling, payments, notifications, and integrations with mobile applications and third- party services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS.
Design and optimize RESTful APIs / GraphQL APIs for mobile and web clients.
Review code, provide technical feedback, and maintain code quality standards.
Build scalable, high- availability backend systems supporting on- demand workflows (booking, dispatching, tracking, pricing, payments).
Proactively propose technical improvements and refactoring initiatives.
Participate in system design and architecture discussions for new features and platform evolution.
Work closely with Product Managers, Mobile Engineers, QA, and DevOps to deliver features end- to- end.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must have
Comfortable working in a fast- paced product environment.
3+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js, preferably with NestJS;
Solid understanding of backend architecture, microservices, and API design;
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB);
Strong problem- solving and analytical thinking;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field;
Nice to have
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker);
Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), Redis, or real- time systems;
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration.
