• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival at the Bar in accordance with hotel standards and the goals of the Resort.
• Assist guests with being seated at the bar or lounge areas.
• Report to work punctually and as scheduled.
• Accept payment for guests’ bar accounts/bills as per the resort standards.
• Handle restaurant reservations promptly and efficiently, whilst promoting in- house facilities as required.
• Control stock consumption by following the set docket control system and resort standard recipes and pouring guidelines.
• Assist fellow F&B associates in their duties as required.
• Maintain good communication between all the Cooks, stewards, waiting and bar staff
• Requisition beverage stock on a daily basis before service to ensure the bar is maintained to set par levels.
• Maintain the presentation & cleanliness of all work areas of the bar, ensuring that a higher standard is maintained on all occasions.
• Effectively communicate and liaise with associates on all levels, understanding the importance of teamwork within F&B operations.
• Conduct informative handover to next shift ensuring that all relevant information is passed on clearly.
• Handle all food & beverage equipment with care, minimizing damage and breakages.
• Arrive at workplace on time in full uniform prepared with tools and all equipment needed for service.
• Must adhere to the resort employee handbook.
• Cleanliness of the working area with proper hygiene and sanitation and protection to ensure work safety and health.
• Convey information, orders and messages to appropriate personnel in a timely and efficient manner.
• Undertake other duties as requested by F&B Services Manager/Supervisor and Hotel Management
• Prepare all beverages and fruits/garnishes needed.
• Complete any other duties and services as assigned by the Restaurant Manager/ Assistant Restaurant Manager.
• Ensure all rubbish is kept separated.
• Assist daily requisition of store items and Linen.
• Look after all the guest needs in the restaurant for beverage items.
• Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety legislation, and related Life Resort Policies.
• Report to Assistant and Restaurant manager any problem or hazardous situation.
• Ensure all guests are served according to the operational standards set by the resort in a professional, friendly and prompt manner. All beverage orders for the restaurant are also prepared & served in a timely manner by the bar attendant on duty.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of and actively sell all food & beverage products available in the restaurant and bar with an emphasis on beverage products.
• Assisting manager and other service staff and when required.
• Assume other duties as assigned by Restaurant Manager/ Assistant Restaurant Manager.
