Job Summary
Be proactive when dealing with guests and serving the guests in the most hospitable manner, all guests arriving to the hotel will be welcomed. Bid farewell to all departing guests in the most courteous and professional manner. Have knowledge of local areas and be updated about cultural, historical attractions as well as its locations and hours of operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)
Assist guests in and out of taxis and other vehicles and remove baggage from vehicles enabling the associates to escort guests, with baggage to the front desk for check- in.
Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Be knowledgeable to assist guests in these inquiries and requests for transport and other information.
Alert security or Guest Services Manager (Duty Manager) whenever a seemingly suspicious looking person is present.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel’s main driveway, ensuring smooth traffic flow at all times and nil parking obstruction at the wheel chair bay.
Maintain the entrance, main door area clean and tidy, free of obstacles and ensuring the traffic through the driveway is controlled.
To properly recorded down all incoming and outgoing luggage or package.
Be aware of the daily weather forecast.
At all- time well groomed, have a pleasant disposition, greet guests with the most hospitable attitude upon arrival at the hotel, and offer assistance at all time without being asked by the guest.
Eagerly connect with everything and everyone, foster an environment where social responsibility, art, culture, food and technology are topics of great interests. Record all out- going taxi transfers into Concierge Taxi Log.
Conduct outside errand (cobbler, tailor alteration, purchased medicine, purchased major sports & concert tickets, etc.)
Handling guest messages, faxes and mails.
Be aware of the hotel’s daily banquet functions / events.
Provide complete knowledgeable with the service offered by the hotel, how and where these facilities could be obtained in order to give accurate information to guests.
Mail and courier services both local and overseas.
Adhere to guest contact standard at all time.
Be aware of the events of the day and the activities going on in the hotel.
Ground transfer, taxies, limousine, and coaches (Basically anything with wheels, ground transport).
Explain choice of parking options and able to direct guest if requested.
Taking care of guest’s baggage, including safe custody, airlines check- in, have them shipped or repaired.
Must be fully conversant with emergency evacuation and fire procedures
Call taxis for guests as required and do the best to ensure the guests are not overcharged by taxis by either negotiating with the taxi driver himself or by cautioning the guest to be on the alert.
Be alert of VIP, special attention, regular and long- stay guests when they present at the lobby, address the guests by name whenever possible.
