Business Development (Speaking English Market)

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Specialist to join our team and drive growth in international markets, with a primary focus on English- speaking regions. This entry- to- mid- level role is ideal for a proactive individual with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to our sales pipeline. As a non- technical PM- oriented role, you will start with business- focused responsibilities but have opportunities to upskill in technical aspects to support project management.
Responsibilities

Support project handover to delivery teams, ensuring smooth transitions and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
Manage the end- to- end sales process from lead generation to deal closure, including negotiation and contract follow- up.
Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, RFPs, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
Track and report on BD activities, pipeline progress, and market trends using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot or similar).
Conduct initial client consultations to understand needs, qualify leads, and articulate how HOPEE’s outsourcing services can deliver value.
Contribute to market research and strategy development to expand HOPEE’s footprint in key sectors like fintech, e- commerce, and healthcare.
Identify and prospect potential clients in English- speaking international markets through research, networking, and targeted outreach (e.g., LinkedIn, industry events, cold emailing).

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
Self- motivated with a clear understanding of priorities – knows what needs to be done and takes initiative without micromanagement.
Minimum 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or client- facing roles, preferably in software outsourcing or IT services.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – essential for international client interactions.
Agile mindset: Quick learner, adaptable to fast- paced environments, and eager to learn new tools/processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle objections effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Willingness to learn technical concepts (e.g., software development basics) to evolve into a non- tech PM role.
Prior experience as a Business Analyst (BA) in software projects – a strong plus for bridging business and technical needs.
Familiarity with outsourcing industry trends, agile methodologies, or tools like Jira/Slack.
Exposure to international markets (e.g., US, UK, Australia) and cultural nuances in sales.
