* Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced retail professional to lead our merchandising strategy, supplier management, and store operations. This role is central to driving profitable growth by optimizing gross margins, managing inventory health, and ensuring an excellent customer experience at the store level.
* Key Responsibilities
Buying & Merchandising Strategy
Strategic Negotiation: Source and negotiate with suppliers/brand owners regarding pricing, rebates, marketing support, and commercial terms (credit, returns, MOQs).
Inventory Health: Own the end- to- end inventory process, including demand forecasting, stock turn optimization, expiry management, and shrink control.
Assortment Management: Build and manage the assortment plan and planograms to optimize key categories within Health & Beauty.
Commercial Planning: Develop price architecture, promotional calendars, and launch plans for new products based on market trends.
Store Operations
Operational Standards: Establish and supervise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for merchandising, hygiene, cash control, and store safety.
Loss Prevention: Conduct cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, investigate shrink, and implement corrective actions for stock and cash accuracy.
Customer Experience: Develop service scripts, product consultation standards, and manage loyalty/member activation programs.
Reporting & Other Duties
Executive Reporting: Deliver regular performance updates and action plans as requested by the General Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Data Analytics: Utilize POS/ERP data to analyze business performance (sales, margins, conversion rates) and drive decision- making.
*Qualifications
Execution Discipline: A hands- on leader with high standards for store appearance, display execution, and operational compliance.
Analytical Acumen: Strong ability to interpret retail data (Sell- through, GMROI, Aging) using Excel, ERP, or POS systems.
Experience: 3–5 years in Buying/Category Management/ Retail Store Operations in Health & Beauty, Pharmacy, or FMCG retail.
Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful negotiations with suppliers and brand partners.
Language: Proficiency in English (The interview process will be conducted entirely in English).
