Capstone Advisor

Advisor Role Overview:
Advisors are matched with students on an individual basis, with the autonomy to accept or decline students based on their schedules.
Flexibility in schedule management allows advisors to align with other commitments while ensuring a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week.
Subject compatibility is prioritized in allocations, ensuring advisors work with students pursuing projects in areas similar to their expertise.
Common project types and subject areas include non- profit/community service, entrepreneurship/start- ups, computer science, various engineering disciplines, physics, biology and medical sciences, law, and performance arts.
Qualifications for Ideal ECL Advisor:
Possess skills and a robust educational or professional background aligning with the specified project areas.
Graduated from a Top 30 US University.
Passion for education and mentorship.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Service Expectations:
Provide guidance and support to students for their capstone leadership projects.
Assist students in developing and submitting a Capstone Leadership Project Proposal and Completion Form.
Create a project management plan and conduct biweekly to monthly sessions to aid students in project execution.
Remain with paired students until the completion of their projects.
Collaborate with the ECL Admin team and student Strategist to ensure the project stays on track and the student&039;s experience is satisfactory.
Compensation:
Starting rate dependent on professional experience, expertise, and relevant educational background.
Compensation based on the time spent in sessions with students.
A standard one- hour session includes approximately 15 minutes of preparation, 10 minutes for session summary, and a potential 10- 15 minutes for follow- up or research on behalf of the student.
