[CIS] Vietnamese English Support Teacher

The Canadian International School (CIS) is looking for potential candidates for the position of
Vietnamese English Support Teacher
with the following details:

Ensure that all students develop competencies in literacy and numeracy, creativity, communication, collaboration and thinking skills
Participate fully in the development of short and long- range teaching/department plans.
Do other administrative works and jobs assigned by the supervisor.
Inspire public confidence by developing positive relationships with parents and the school community.
Implement effective teaching and learning strategies that include the use of educational technology.
Support the main teacher (international and Vietnamese) to manage the class and organize teaching activities. Providing individual support to children in learning centers.
Work as a professional learning community to share effective practices provide rich learning tasks for students and use meaningful and authentic print and digital learning resources.
Support all students in developing a love of learning and in achieving their full potential.
Be an interpreter in a parent- teacher conference. Translate all documents sent to Vietnamese parents.
Contribute effectively to the ongoing success of the school in providing high- quality education for all students, with particular attention to developing students as global learners, citizens and student leaders.

Education:

At least 3 years’ experience in teaching; teaching experience in Pre- K12 international school would be an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Education; intensive knowledge of Pre- K12 education would be an advantage.

Abilities/ Skills:

Demonstrate sensitivity in cross- cultural relationships.
Enjoy working with young children in an educational setting.
Ability to work independently as well as a team player.
Ability to manage conflict effectively and work to achieve students- based solutions.
