Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to strengthen our development service in digital transformations. The Cloud Engineer shall support Niteco’s delivery/service teams with all aspects of cloud hosting service and infrastructure management in a software development project life cycle, monitoring and infrastructure- related tasks for our global clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Infrastructure monitoring

Configure alerts and notifications for potential issues or anomalies.
Generate regular reports on infrastructure performance and availability.
Perform troubleshooting when downtime (P1) issue happens and resolution of monitoring alerts.
Monitor network traffic, server uptime, storage utilization, and other relevant metrics.
Set up audit logs, monitoring, infrastructure automation, SSL certificates, DevOps- related tasks and systems to track the health, uptime and performance of infrastructure components.

Cloud Hosting Service:

Deploy and manage virtual machines, containers, and other cloud resources.
Setting up Backup, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery.
Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the cloud environment.
Provision and configure cloud infrastructure based on client’s cloud policies, standards and requirements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud- related issues.

Infrastructure Management:

Capacity planning and scale resources as needed.
Implement security best practices.
Manage user access controls and permissions.
Regular maintenance and updates of operating systems, software, and patches to comply with client’s security standards.
Monitor resource utilization and performance metrics.

Other tasks

Provide assistance to the other teams in the technical meetings with major clients on issues that relate to the expertise of Cloud/DevOps/Automation & Security.
Performing other tasks as required (such as ServiceNOW/security training and reporting).
Make sure all procedures, guidelines and best practices are documented.
Study and share new techniques, practice, tools and share for other team members.
Work closely with IT and Application Management Engineers to assist both internal and external clients.

Bachelor of IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
Good communication skills (in English and Vietnamese). Be able to consult the customer with the best possible solution.
From 3+ years of experience in software development and operations, with at least 2 years working in DevOps, Infrastructure Management and Cloud hosting role.
Must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background.

Technical Skills:

Experience in developing websites using databases, preferably .Net and SQL Server.
Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, IBM Cloud- based services, IBM Bluemix.
Strong programming skills with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) is a big plus.
Good knowledge of system infrastructure (network, security, services, virtualization).
High proficiency in working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Relevant certifications are highly regarded.
Proficiency in implementing and managing security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
Expertise in securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with web servers such as IIS, Nginx, Apache, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere.
Knowledgeable in managing services like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB/CosmosDB, Redis, Kafka.
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy.
Familiarity with Git branching strategies and programming or compiling code in various languages (e.g., .Net, NodeJS, PHP).

Monitoring Tools:

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Azure Application Insights, Dynatrace, RayGun, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Datadog, or equivalent systems.
