Job Description
The opportunity
As an Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the internal and external communications strategy for our organization to ensure operational efficiency and support thought leadership. You will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling content that engages employees, customers and business partners. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all internal and external communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
Responsibilities

Craft engaging and factual content in English and Vietnamese, focusing on creative storytelling for both internal and external communications.
Draft impactful messages, talking points, and speeches for senior executives, in written or spoken form.
Manage internal communication during crisis situations affecting organizational perception and reputation.
Plan, edit, and curate content for various communication channels like newsletters, LinkedIn, town halls, events, and regular memos.
Measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives and adjust strategies as needed
Manage & execute other adhoc projects when being assigned
Collaborate with the Public Relations team and handle designated external communications.
Effectively communicate organizational initiatives and projects to the public, employees, and stakeholders.
Ensure consistency in internal communications across departments, aligning with external communication messages.
Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies, playing a vital role in our transformation and engagement agenda at Manulife Vietnam.
Liaise with regional or global offices on corporate communication matters as necessary.

What We Are Looking For

Personal Attributes and Culture Fit:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and translating skills in both English and Vietnamese.
Strong project management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently with keen attention to detail.
Self- motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in technology and tools for internal communication, including email marketing software, intranet platforms, Microsoft Teams, and social media.

Qualifications

Fluency in English is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cross- departmental communications management.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field.
