Compliance Platform Leader (KYC, EDD, IDentity)

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Compliance Platform Team Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating compliance controls embedded within CAEX’s platform, with a primary focus on:

KYC / CDD / EDD
Customer identity management
Compliance- by- design across onboarding and user lifecycle

This role acts as a key bridge between Compliance, Product, Technology, and Operations, ensuring regulatory requirements are effectively translated into scalable platform logic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
KYC / CDD / EDD & Customer Identity

Review and approve high- risk cases, including PEPs and enhanced due diligence users.
Design and maintain customer risk scoring and tiering models.
Own and manage KYC, CDD, and EDD processes across all customer segments (Retail, Pro, VIP, Business).

2. Compliance Platform & Product Integration

Partner with Product and Engineering teams to:
Design compliance logic for user permissions, limits, and risk- based controls.
Embed compliance requirements into onboarding, identity verification, and access control flows.
Ensure all new features follow Compliance- by- Design principles.

3. KYC Operations Management

Lead and supervise the KYC Operations team:
Assign workloads and manage SLAs.
Perform quality assurance and reduce false positives.
Establish clear exception handling and escalation procedures.

4. Reporting, Audit & Regulatory Support

Support preparation of documentation and data for:
Regulatory reviews and inspections.
Internal and external audits.

Ensure proper data retention, audit trails, and system logs in line with regulatory requirements.

Experience & Education

Experience in crypto exchanges, fintech, or digital banking is strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance, AML, or KYC.
At least 2 years of people management experience.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of:
KYC/CDD/EDD frameworks.
Vietnamese AML and related regulations.
AML/CFT, FATF standards.
Hands- on experience with KYC and identity verification tools (e.g., Sumsub, Jumio, Onfido, Chainalysis) is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical and system- thinking skills.
Independent decision- making capability in high- risk environments.
Ability to translate regulatory requirements into product and platform logic.
Professional working proficiency in English.
