We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IB/IGCSE Computer Science Teacher to join our team at Intertu. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high- quality instruction in alignment with the International Baccalaureate (IB) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curricula. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more subject areas, a passion for fostering a dynamic and engaging classroom environment, and a commitment to supporting students&039; academic growth and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Instructional Leadership
- Prior experience with IB/IGCSE is preferred, but not required.
- Mentor and guide peers in refining teaching strategies to optimize student learning outcomes.
- Deliver engaging lessons in Computer Science, exemplifying high- quality instructional practices.
Curriculum Implementation and Enhancement
- Seek out and recommend professional development opportunities to maintain a continuous learning and improvement culture among the teaching staff.
- Teacher Support and Professional Development
- Offer support and share expertise with colleagues, especially in pedagogical methods, classroom management, and enhancing student engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum Development team to ensure the curriculum&039;s effective delivery, tailoring instructional approaches to meet diverse student needs.
- Actively provide feedback on curriculum implementation, advocating for adjustments to cater to varying learning preferences.
Classroom and Behavior Management
- Implement and uphold effective classroom and behaviour management strategies, creating a constructive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to address and resolve complex behavioural issues, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
Assessment and Reporting- Develop and apply assessment tools that align with educational goals, providing insightful feedback to students on their progress.
