JOB PURPOSE
The PMO Analyst / Reporting Lead is responsible for supporting the Strategic PMO in developing and maintaining the bank’s strategic project portfolio. The role ensures transparent, timely, and accurate reporting of project performance; provides early warning signals on risks and issues; supports resource allocation analysis; and contributes to project effectiveness evaluation against the bank’s strategic objectives. The position plays a key role in enabling data- driven decision- making and enhancing the overall governance and performance of the project portfolio.
CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Portfolio Management
Analyse strategic project proposals and strategic alignment to support prioritization and portfolio planning.
Provide recommendations on SPMO’s resource allocation based on project complexity, priority, and capacity.
Contribute to the development and continuous review of the bank’s strategic project portfolio.
Reporting & Dashboard Management
Prepare periodic strategic project portfolio reports for senior leadership.
Consolidate data from Finance’s PMO and ensure the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of project information.
Support Finance’s PMO in enhancing project management reporting templates and dashboards.
Performance Monitoring & Risk Oversight
Provide early warnings and analytical insights to Head of SPMO to support proactive decision- making.
Track project progress, timelines, deliverables, and budget performance across the portfolio.
Follow up with Project Managers to ensure the implementation of corrective actions.
Identify deviations from plans and highlight potential risks, issues, and bottlenecks.
Project Evaluation & Strategic Alignment
Evaluate project effectiveness versus initial business case, KPIs, and strategic objectives.
Participate in post- implementation reviews and assessment of project outcomes.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure lessons learned are documented and disseminated.
Stakeholder Engagement
Facilitate communication across the portfolio and ensure transparency with key stakeholders.
Work closely with Project Managers, business units, technical teams, Finance, HR, and other PMOs to gather data and validate project information.
