Data Scientist

Job Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist with a keen interest in data science, and optimization algorithms. This position involves researching deeply the Japanese market&039;s energy operations and defining and building optimal mathematical models based on trader insights. Based on current algorithms.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and apply optimization algorithms to enhance software performance and data processing.
Collaborate with teams to conceptualize and implement new features.
Write clean, maintainable code and perform unit testing.
Implement robust security measures and data protection protocols.
Contribute to the design of scalable, efficient software systems.
Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in Python development, Django, data science, and optimization techniques.
Engage in data science projects, utilizing Python data science frameworks like Pandas, NumPy, or SciPy, Scikit- learn, Keras

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of Python’s threading limitations and multi- process architecture.
Capability to integrate diverse data sources and databases.
Solid grasp of Python programming.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with event- driven programming in Python.
Strongly build a mathematical optimization model
At least 3 years of experience in a Data Scientist role
Understanding of ORM libraries.
Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
Fluent in written and oral English
Basic knowledge of the Django framework is a bonus point

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python data science frameworks (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit- learn, Keras).
Prior internship or project experience in Python, particularly in data- heavy environments.
Understanding of optimization algorithms and their application in software development.

Nice to have:

Ability to contribute to optimization models
Ability to develop energy price forecasts and take it to the next level
Understanding of how to model energy systems
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of Japanese or Australian energy markets and regulations
Speaks Japanese
