Sales Management
Responsibilities
• Leading and directing strategic planning and analysis relating to hotel sales, market intelligence activities, and business prospecting, i.e. develop and maintain relationship with key clients in order to produce groups and / or conference business, to maximize room sales
• Interacting with potential clients and industry trade representatives to generate corporate business or MICE group
• Maintaining organic communication networks to ensure that the hotel has a competitive advantage in information and sales leads
• Leading, organizing and controlling the sales team; while managing, coaching, and planning effectively to motivate them in achieving targeted results
People Management, Associate Support and Supervision
• Managing the department’s human resources related activities, including recruitment, performance management, training, career planning, disciplinary matters, and team motivation
• Understanding, continuing update and implementation of the relevant policies, procedures and service delivery standards of the above specified department/division, this position and its direct subordinates, if there are any
• Understanding, continuing update and implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and code of conduct; while promoting management, team and cross department support, leadership, professionalism and good relations
• Developing and maintaining a sales organization with sound structure, delegation and relationships that will ensure that the most work is done by the fewest people at a reasonable cost, with the greatest satisfaction to the people performing the work
• Performing other related duties and functions assigned by Director of Sales and Marketing
• Maintaining and promoting communication efficiency for general and work specific information, to include the conduct of regular meetings and/or discussions on work activities, service delivery, continuing work system improvement, and the like
Other Responsibilities
• Performing other related duties and functions which may be assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing
• Furnishing monthly sales & marketing reports and related documentation on a timely basis; analyzing the results and recommend ways to improve revenue generation and profitability
• Ensuring full implementation, updating and or continuing review of the Sales and Marketing policies and procedures, professional business and marketing plans, department and instruction manuals, among other related documentation
