Primary Responsibilities
Perform any other duties as may be required by the FOM or Management of the Hotel which is deemed necessary to promote the flow of work and ultimately achieve the standards of Premier Village Phu Quoc
To open car doors (where appropriate) and greet guest in the manner expected of the Resort
Be familiar with tourist attractions, cultural matters, restaurants, shopping services, special hotel events and be prepared to pass this information whenever guests require
To carry out any other duties from time to time, which maybe requested by the Front Office Manager/ AFOM
To assist guest with directions when required
Ensure all the luggage or items stored in the luggage store are tagged with the guest’s name and room number is logged in the luggage logbook. The store should be locked at all times for security purposes
Maintain the buffy to be always in the best condition of the clean/battery
Read logbook and initial report. Act on relevant information and follow- up accordingly. o Immediately assist guest with their luggage and/or any queries request they may have, escort guest up to their room with their luggage
Regularly check and print trace of the day and next day for transportation and other arrangements
Be familiar with functions and conferences in the Hotel
Under the guidance of the Front Office, be responsible for the daily running of this department
Ensure full knowledge of the Hotel, Food and Beverage outlet openings/ closing times and Phu Quoc tourist attractions
To attend training sessions as directed by the Front Office Manager/AFOM. Get Fully briefing before shift
To make sure that there is no delay in delivering luggage, parcel, fax, message or any others as maximum 7 minutes for a FIT and 20 minutes for a group
Hand- over all pending jobs to the next shift
Ensure that all duties are carried out in the line with the hotel policy, with the high standards of personal appearance, hygiene and correct uniform & name tags as the staff as outline in the employee handbook
Immediate recognition of all guests at their approach using guest name where possible in a polite and professional manner
To daily order newspaper and magazine according to business level and make record properly
Assist the guest with umbrella when raining. Properly record if any guest borrows the umbrella and make sure they return it
Ensure cleanliness, friendliness and security of area under control. This includes storeroom, bell counter, foyer area and driveway
Ensure function boards and notice boards are correctly placed, set up and correct spelling
Check and clean outside entrance door, ensure that window/glass in the entrance door are kept clean
Know how to use buggies properly, need to pass the test of buggies training
To carry out any other duties from time to time as requested by the Front Office Manager/AFOM
Maintain in all areas a high level of guest contact and ensure that all porters do the same, guests need are to be met whenever possible. If difficulties arise should refer to AFOM
Liaise closely with all the departments of the hotel
To ensure personal hygiene is one of the standards expected of the Resort. To ensure grooming and presentation is of the highest standard
To be all time stationed at the main entrance of the Resort and anticipates the arrival of the people coming to the hotel with a warm welcome
