Embedded Systems Engineer DevOps, C++, Python, Linux

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer with DevOps background to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between embedded software development and DevOps practices, focusing on building robust CI/CD pipelines, integrating security tools, and enabling seamless connectivity with IoT cloud platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring our embedded products are developed, tested, and deployed efficiently and securely.

Embedded Development:
Perform debugging, testing, and validation of embedded firmware/hardware integration.
Develop and optimize device drivers, board support packages, and hardware abstraction layers.
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for embedded Linux, and RTOS- based systems.
Collaborate with hardware teams to support hardware- software integration.
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
Automate build, test, and deployment processes for firmware and embedded Linux applications.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software projects using Jenkins and related tools.
Integrate hardware- in- the- loop (HIL) and software- in- the- loop (SIL) testing into pipelines.
DevOps & Infrastructure:
Manage source control systems (e.g., Git), branching strategies, and code review workflows.
Maintain and optimize build servers, artifact repositories, and deployment environments.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles and improve delivery speed.
IoT Cloud Integration:
Ensure secure connectivity and data transmission between devices and cloud services.
Automate device provisioning, firmware updates (OTA), and data pipeline deployments to the cloud.
Support the integration of embedded devices with IoT cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT).
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Develop monitoring solutions for build, deployment, and operational health of embedded and IoT systems.
Troubleshoot CI/CD, build, and integration issues, collaborating across teams as needed.
Documentation & Training:
Document DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices.
Mentor and train team members on DevOps tools, processes, and security practices.

Familiarity with managing build servers, Docker containers, and artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory, Nexus) is a plus.
Familiarity with Rest API and web services is a plus.
Familiarity with testing frameworks like Gtest, Junit and Pytest is a plus.

Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation.
Experience with source control (Git), build automation (Make, CMake).
Familiarity with integrating SAST tools (e.g., SonarQube, Coverity, or similar) in CI pipelines is a plus.
Understanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and security compliance for embedded systems (MISRA/CERT C/C++).
Familiarity with Linux kernel module and driver development is a plus.
Experience with IoT cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT), device- cloud integration, OTA update mechanisms and secure device provisioning.
Strong proficiency with embedded build system (Yocto) and CI/CD pipeline design for embedded systems (Jenkins).
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Solid understanding of embedded software development (C/C++, Embedded Linux, RTOS, or microcontrollers).
